The Superjesus’ former front woman Sarah McLeod will be joining James Walsh, lead singer of critically acclaimed UK band Starsailor on his upcoming March tour of Australia.
Performing songs from both The Superjesus and her new rock outfit Screaming Bikini, this latest tour follows on from a successful year for McLeod. A string of intimate acoustic shows late last year across the country earned rave reviews for the Adelaide-born singer. After working in the US with such names as Benny Blanco (Katy Perry, Britney Spears) and Mike Posner, her new project Screaming Bikini is a return to the singer’s rock and roll powerhouse days.
In less than 10 years, James Walsh as singer, songwriter and front man for Starsailor achieved what most musicians can only dream of. In 2001 the then unknown Starsailor, were hailed as “the new Coldplay” after only a handful of performances. The group, best known for their hits ‘Four to the Floor’, ‘Silence is Easy’ and ‘Tell Me It’s Not Over’ has since sold over 3 million albums worldwide and toured with the likes of the Rolling Stones, U2, The Police and The Killers.
