Get ready for a weekend where robots battle, experiments explode and the impossible suddenly feels possible, as Science Alive! returns to Adelaide with its biggest collection of hands-on science experiences yet.
Taking place on August 8th and 9th, the event will bring together some of Australia’s leading science, technology and education organisations for a jam-packed weekend of discovery, with hands-on exhibits, live performances and immersive experiences designed to spark curiosity in visitors of all ages.
From robots and virtual reality to space exploration, health science and engineering, Science Alive! will showcase the incredible ways science shapes the world around us.


Visitors can step into the Science Theatre for high-energy demonstrations, special guest presenters and spectacular experiments that turn science into entertainment, while science communicator Nitro Nat will return with explosive shows full of surprising experiments and big scientific moments.
The event’s impressive line-up of experiences includes the chance to take on robot challenges, explore virtual reality adventures, discover the latest innovations in the DSTG Interactive Zone, learn about health and biology, and journey into the world of space and beyond.
Families can also explore the Science Discovery Trail, meet animals and wildlife, test their skills through gaming and visual effects activities, and discover future career pathways through the STEM Careers and Education displays.

With more than 80 interactive exhibits, Science Alive! will feature displays from leading organisations and community groups, including the South Australian Museum, OzHarvest, Lockheed Martin Australia and the Adelaide Crows, showcasing everything from sustainability and technology to environmental science and sports performance.
One of the highlights will be the chance to experience cutting-edge technology through immersive displays, including 360-degree projection experiences, drone demonstrations and live robot battles.
