Tucked away in the Adelaide Hills, Hello Little Walnut is a new lifestyle store run by three sisters, bonded by their love of colour, design and all things homeware.
Shoppers can expect to find everything from jewellery, baby clothes, cushions, prints, cards, books, candles and plants, with gift vouchers also available for those who can’t choose from the incredible range of unique products decorating each nook of the store.
The store marks the first permanent bricks and mortar venue for Hello Little Walnut, which has previously popped up in two temporary Woodside stores.
The eclectic lifestyle store truly is a family affair with sisters Lauren, Jen and Deanna all sharing responsibility to run the story alongside their part-time jobs.
Beautiful pots hand-painted by the three sisters are also available for sale within the store, alongside baby clothes and cushions hand-made by their mother Yvonne and hair scrunchies created by niece Lydia.
The inspiration behind Hello Little Walnut began seven years ago when sister Lauren began selling watercolour painted prints and hand-crafted jewellery at a number of popular Adelaide markets.
As the concept evolved two pop-up shops were opened in Woodside before the sisters jumped at the chance to open their first flagship store in the Adelaide Hills community they love so much in early 2021. Setting out to create a peaceful space for browsing the Hello Little Walnut are planning to use the new permanent space to host workshops and events.
Hello Little Walnut offers shoppers a chance to support local businesses by browsing unique hand-crafted items from local artists. Amongst the local artists whose wares are sold in store are earrings by Shannon O’Neill, eye-catching prince by Alannah Yerbery (A Small Theory), and prints and cards by Adelaide Hills artist Kalanco Designs.
The store also sells pre-loved clothing, with an important focus on repurposing and up cycling quality items.
