When it comes to electronic pop music in Adelaide, few acts are creating the kind of waves that SKIES are.
They’ve just secured a slot on Britain’s Great Escape Festival, on the back of their appearance at BIG SOUND and having inked a deal with Niche Productions. Safe to say, the act featuring singer and guitarist Dusty Stephensen and electronic musicians Micah Cearns and Micheal Zabolocki are set for big things.
With last year’s singles ‘Call for My Heart’ and ‘Too Young’, receiving airplay on Triple J, the trio, along with live drummer Matt Birkin supported SAFIA, Aston Shuffle, Peking Duk, Tkay Maidza, Meg Mac and The Kite String Tangle.
Check out their single launch for ‘Speed Boy’ at Fat Controller on Friday May 15 before they head to the UK and catch one of Adelaide’s best up-and-coming acts on the rise.
