Take A Trip To Italy At The National Wine Centre

The National Wine Centre of Australia is hosting a mouthwatering Italian Wine Dinner.

Buon Appetito!

The National Wine Centre of Australia is presenting Festa Italiana Wine Dinner, bringing you the best food and wine from Italy.

Chef Ruben Fernandes has created a three course degustation style menu, designed for sharing and sure to take you to Italy.

To start, there will be a selection of canapés including Vitello Tonnato roulade (veal and tuna) and squid ink pasta. Of course, this will be paired with a Prosecco from the north-eastern Italian wine region of Veneto.

Following this, you will be served (among other dishes) mouth-watering aromatic whole salt-crusted barramundi, light and delicate homemade gnocchi and tender T-bone steak.

If you can fit anything else in, the menu will finish with a selection of Italian cheeses.

Head Sommelier, James Boden will walk you through  the carefully selected wines which complement the dishes. These will include Fresco Nebbiolo and Sangiovese, which are Italian varietals that are being produced here in Australia.

This is the Wine Centre’s final wine dinner for 2019 and the last of its ‘European Series’. The series has recently seen the likes of a French Sunday brunch in celebration of Bastille Day, as well as taking us to Spain at the ‘Spanish Bull’ Wine Dinner.

Grab your Festa Italiana Wine Dinner tickets here. Ticket sales close at 3pm Friday 9 August.

Where: National Wine Centre of Australia, Corner of Botanic and Hackney Road, Adelaide, SA 5000.
