Adelaide Crows veteran Taylor Walker has just signed a contract extension with the club that will see him stay on for another year.
The extension will see the key forward continue into his 16th season and will allow him to continue as a leader of the club to the younger generation coming through. Staying on at the club means the 32-year-old will be a one-club-player having played all 235 of his games with the Crows.
After serving a six-game ban due to an off-field incident late in last year’s season, Walker made the decision to return to the game after deliberating whether to hang up his boots following the case. Eventually opting to play, Walker returned to the field in four of the 2022 season and proven to be a crucial player in the side this season with 31 goals from 12 games.
While he may have a presence within the club, it has been a tough year for the team on field. The Crows currently sit at 15th on the AFL ladder with just five wins and will take on the Collingwood Magpies this weekend in a home ground clash at Adelaide Oval.
