Promising to be the very best yet, The Copper Coast Show will return to the Kadina Showgrounds on August 15th and 16th, marking an impressive 155 years of one of South Australia’s most enduring community traditions. Bringing together the towns of Kadina, Wallaroo and Moonta, the event continues to celebrate the region’s rich agricultural heritage while offering a vibrant weekend of entertainment for all ages.

Held at the historic showgrounds on Mines Road, the show remains true to its long-standing motto, ‘Showcasing the community.’ Since its beginning way back in 1871, it has grown from a modest agricultural gathering into a diverse event that highlights traditional rural skills and modern attractions.

Visitors of all ages can expect a lively atmosphere across the two-day event, with something around every corner. The grounds will come alive with a colourful mix of rides, sideshows, showbags, food trucks and market stalls, while live music and local performers will provide a festive soundtrack throughout the weekend. Families will find plenty to enjoy, from opportunities to cuddle and pat adorable animals to classic country show favourites like tractor and shearing demonstrations.

A major drawcard of the Copper Coast Show is its wide range of competitions and exhibits, which encourage participation from people of all ages and backgrounds. Inside the pavilions, entries span everything from cookery, preserves and home brew to art, photography, needlework and floral displays.

Junior sections ensure younger participants from local communities get involved, offering a chance to develop skills and put a spotlight on their creativity.

Agricultural excellence remains at the heart of the show. Visitors can explore displays of livestock, poultry and produce, as well as watch horses in action through show jumping and carriage driving. Sheep dog trials and demonstrations further highlight the beautiful region’s strong farming traditions, whilst providing awe-inspiring entertainment for the whole family.

And of course, not to be missed, there are the ever-popular showbags, rides and carnival games.

The popular Ag Discovery Trail offers a hands-on experience for children to learn about life on the land, while competitions, such as the Rural Ambassador Awards, celebrate local talent and showcase community involvement.

With affordable entry prices and proceeds supporting the local community, the Copper Coast Show continues to be more than just an event. It is an uplifting and heartwarming celebration of local spirit, tradition and connection.

Visitors from all over can look forward to a memorable weekend filled with country charm.
