It’s one of our city’s most popular events and with the City to Bay returning in all its glory this year, the people of Adelaide are excited but, if running from the CBD to Glenelg isn’t really your cup of tea, there is still a chance to get among the action.
Following this year’s City-Bay Fun Run, Marina Pier in Glenelg is throwing a party to honour those who did as well as those who didn’t at its Party on Marina Pier festival. The event will be held on Sunday 18th September from 11am until 2pm, straight after the run, with fun activations and specials on offer from all the venues along the precinct that are fit for the whole family.
If you’re one of the dedicated athletes taking part in this year’s event, whether you plan on running, jogging, or walking, treat yourself to a well-deserved celebratory afternoon by the water to replenish your energy levels and reward your efforts.
With free entry, the festival will feature activations perfect for the young ones including a Kids Silent Disco, Roaming Kid’s Characters, Glitter Tattoos as well as Face Painting. The festival will also feature entertainment including Live Music and delicious food and drink specials from the Marina Pier restaurants including kid snack boxes which can be pre-ordered from Oyster Bar! An ice-cream bar will also be in operation as the perfect sweet indulgence before you head home for a well-earned nap after an early start.
