The Twilight Fringe has a flying trapeze, street theatre, roving artists, fire twirlers and musicians on Friday and Saturday nights for three weekends in the middle of Fringe. The upcoming weeks will feature Melbourne-based trapeze troupe Little Red, and if last week’s event was any testament, it’s bound to be a packed show.
“It was full with loads of lovely crowds; It was fantastic,” says Louise Clarke, director of Bamboozled Productions, the group behind the event. “The community is really engaged with the event.”
The family-friendly event has Australia’s only mini flying trapeze rig, live bands, great street theatre, and a fire show. As if that isn’t enough, there’s also a pop-up bar and food stalls with options such as ice cream, coffee, and Mexican food.
The event is a City of Adelaide initiative, and it’s free and open to walk-ins. The next shows are the 5th and 6th of March, and the 12th and 13th of March. Check it out if you want a night of fun and diverse art displays.
“It’s a unique show with slices of lots of difference genres of performance,” Clarke says.
