The Retreat at Chapel Hill is a purpose-built wedding and events venue located in the vineyard at the Chapel Hill Winery. It features a large dining/meeting room, seven guest rooms and expansive views through the vines to Gulf St. Vincent.

Chapel Hill’s event manager, Kath, will guide you through the organisation of your wedding every step of the way to ensure that all of your requests and requirements are met. Kath will work with suppliers to organise everything right down to the decorations and styling so that your ideal wedding runs smoothly, while you relax and enjoy yourselves.
Most ceremonies are held outdoors, on a hill that overlooks the many McLaren Vale vineyards, the Onkaparinga National Park and the ocean. The Retreat’s location in the vineyard makes it a private and intimate venue, meaning that anyone who books The Retreat will receive exclusive use for the duration of their stay. Plus, since Chapel Hill only schedules one wedding a weekend, you know that your wedding is the number one priority for The Retreat staff.
Receptions are held in a dining hall that seats 90 or up to 150 guests for a standing reception. Cocktail fare includes a grazing menu consisting of 8 canapes and 2 substantial items, and you can also opt for late night snack inclusion, finishing with pizza or sliders at end of the night. And of course, a selection of Chapel Hill wines are served during the reception, along with craft beers and local soft drinks.
The on-site chefs and kitchen staff freshly prepare all meals using local produce and are happy to accommodate any dietary requirements.
The Retreat boasts seven well-appointed bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms which can accommodate the bridal party and groomsmen. Onsite accommodation and a cooked breakfast are included in the venue hire package, so that you can spend more time with your nearest and dearest.
