For fans of hip-hop and unique dining experiences, Westside Mushies is serving up something you won’t want to miss. Get ready for Collision Courses, an innovative event that mixes beats, eats, and art at their vibrant urban mushroom farm. It’s where music meets gastronomy in an extraordinary evening, kicking off with its first installment.

The evening’s lineup includes a culinary squad of Adelaide’s hip-hop aficionado chefs: Duane Tilka (Carton), Grant Schooling, Jackson Bennett (UrbanGrowBoi), and Sam Smith (Bloom). They’re whipping up mushroom-centric dishes that’ll knock your socks off. Picture this: oyster mushroom duxelles on fresh sourdough, topped with crispy prosciutto, and for dessert, king oyster ice cream drizzled with mushroom tamari caramel. Tempted yet?

With the venue capped at 80 guests, you’re in for an intimate affair where the boundary between performers and guests blurs into one memorable night. Starting at 5 PM sharp, this unseated event promises a lively atmosphere, so be ready to mingle and groove.

Westside Mushies started in 2020, growing and supplying the freshest gourmet mushrooms for restaurants and anyone with an adventurous palette. These aren’t your typical grocery store button mushrooms, from the lush-looking lion’s mane to the vibrant pink oyster mushroom. Mushies provide an out-of-this-world flavour journey, selling mushroom growing kits so anyone can be a mushroom farmer. Elevate any home-cooked meal to a gourmet dish. The team also offers masterclasses for aspiring mushroom farmers and food connoisseurs.

Adding to the mix, Melbourne’s hip-hop veteran Brad Strut takes the stage, embodying the essence of hip-hop with his sophisticated wordplay and iconic tracks. The night also features sound curation by the legendary Doc Felix, ensuring the beats are as fresh as the food.

The Intimate live show and gourmet food selection will be accompanied by a live art installation rounding out the visual experience from local Adelaide artists.
