We’re lucky enough in Adelaide to live super close to four of the best wine regions in the world, so it’s understandable if we occasionally overlook that the rest of the world makes wine, too.
Here to expand your wine horizons while having a proper adventure is the
Great Wine Voyage, a Tasting Australia event this coming Sunday (15 April 2018) that will take you on a viticultural adventure through some of Adelaide’s best wine bars and the finest South Australian and international wines they offer, including 8 venues throughout our city’s East End, stretching from Mother Vine to Lindes Lane.
The event will open outside Mother Vine with a small street party hosted by James Halliday 2018 Winemaker of the Year, Paul Hotker of Bleasedale Wines. Hotker will take guests through his delightful 2015 Generations Malbec and an Argentinian counterpart from the Mendoza region in the first of eight comparative tastings.
At each secretive destination, ticket holders will receive two tasting samples of local and international ‘Great Wine Capitals’ to compare, accompanied by similarly continental delicacies to whet your appetite. Noted industry figures like 2017 Young Gun of Wine Micky Downer of Murdoch Hill Wines, Kerri Thompson of Wines by KT and Daniel Redman of Redman Wines will also be participating to speak to guests about their wines and their international counterparts.
After a sold out 2017 event, be sure you don’t miss this exclusive, exciting and educational adventure through the East End’s best wine bars and the wonderful world of wine.
Tickets are available through the Tasting Australia
website, and be sure to follow the event’s Facebook
page to keep up to date.
