Named after the stars of the Heavenly Waters, see the newest eco-accommodation coming to KI

Coming this summer, four new WanderPods rest atop the northern bluff overlooking Snelling Beach and the biodiverse waters of the Great Australian Bight on Kangaroo Island.

“Your Wander experience is lucky enough to be located on one of the best beaches on the north coast
of Kangaroo Island,” says Wander CEO Cassandra Sasso.

The WanderPods are named after constellations only seen in the southern skies; Columba, Carina, Pyxis and Vela. Part of the Heavenly Waters family of stellar formations, their names relate to the great oceans, rivers, sea creatures, and ships.

Wander has created a sustainable, scalable product to now roll out across regional Australia. The first WanderPods are located in secluded bushland, overlooking a lake on a private property in Queensland’s Scenic Rim, 1.5 hours from Brisbane.

Cassandra Sasso says that “we’ve had amazing guest feedback from our first location in the Scenic Rim, and we can’t wait to deliver another incredible experience for Wanderers at our next location on Kangaroo Island, South Australia in 2022”.

“Our scaling process is not based on a cookie cutter approach, and we will always aim to have a more
sustainable product and operation than our last project.”

Wander offers guests a space to connect with the country, the community and themselves. Guests stay in sustainable luxury and simplicity, in a WanderPod that is grounded in beautiful and purposeful design.

WanderPods are light-earth touch and “thrive on Country.” Each showcases old and new technologies that help to inspire guests to implement sustainable practices into the rhythms of their home and work lives.

The launch of Wander’s first location Wander at The Overflow Estate 1895 sold out within 10 hours, so
Kangaroo Island bookings are expected to sell fast.

“Kangaroo Island is a massive, untamed place, so we recommend giving yourself plenty of time to both explore and experience.”

“Start planning your trip today by looking at airline and ferry schedules so that you can get your preferred date right when booking,” says Sasso.
