For Adelaide homeowners, bathroom renovations can mean weeks of juggling trades, chasing timelines and dealing with the inevitable surprises that come with pulling a room apart.
One local renovation company says demand for a more streamlined approach has seen its new dedicated bathroom division complete more than 40 projects since launching earlier this year.
ABA Trades is now completing around 11 bathroom renovations a month, bringing design, project management and multiple trades under the one roof in an effort to simplify the process for homeowners.
The company’s approach recently helped Morphett Vale homeowner Elizabeth complete her bathroom transformation in four weeks, exactly the timeframe she had been promised.
“We recently had our granny flat bathroom renovated by ABA TRADES in just four weeks, exactly as promised, and we’re really happy with how it turned out,” said Elizabeth.

Rather than homeowners coordinating separate plumbers, electricians and other trades themselves, ABA Trades assigns a dedicated project manager to oversee the renovation and coordinate the different stages of the work.
For Elizabeth, it was the communication throughout the project that made the biggest difference.
“From the beginning, the whole process felt easy and well organised,” she said. “Whenever we had a question or needed something, Nikki was always there to help and got onto things straight away. She was calm, helpful, and made the whole renovation a lot less stressful.”
She also praised the tradespeople working on the bathroom.
“All the guys who worked on the bathroom were great as well, friendly, professional and clearly took pride in what they were doing. The finished bathroom looks amazing and turned out even better than we expected.”
The Morphett Vale renovation is one example of the type of projects being handled through ABA Trades’ new dedicated bathroom division, which has been developed around an end-to-end model.

Homeowners can work through their layouts, fixtures and finishes before construction begins, with the company also using 3D design technology to give clients a preview of their proposed bathroom. The technology allows changes to be made before construction starts, potentially reducing the headaches that can come with discovering design issues once work is already underway.
The move into dedicated bathroom renovations builds on ABA Trades’ existing plumbing, electrical, roofing and heating and cooling services, with the company previously saying customers were increasingly looking for a “one-stop shop” approach.
The business says keeping much of the work and project management under its own roof gives it greater control over scheduling and the order in which trades work on each project.
That can be particularly important in bathroom renovations, where delays with one trade can quickly push back the entire project.
However, for Elizabeth, the measure of a successful renovation was ultimately the finished space.
“A big thank you to Nikki and the whole ABA TRADES team. We’re very happy with the result.”

Now with the company completing around 11 bathroom renovations each month, ABA Trades is providing homeowners peace of mind with each and every project they take on.
