Adelaide-based rock ensemble Normal Behaviour is making waves with their latest musical venture, introducing a double single that features the tracks “Banana Brain” and “Animal.”

This new release marks a significant moment for the four-piece band, known for their raw, energetic performances and a sound that bridges the gap between rebellion and romance.

“Banana Brain” offers listeners a lackadaisical, contrarian view of life, weaving intricate guitar melodies with compelling storytelling. In contrast, “Animal” delves into the exhaustion of constantly trying to please others, showcasing the band’s ability to explore complex emotions through their music.

Together, these singles encapsulate the essence of Normal Behaviour’s unique sound: a blend of muscular, energetic grooves and Kam Henschke’s Buckley-esque vocals that have captivated audiences across South Australia.

Kam Henschke, the band’s lead vocalist, shares, “These songs are deeply personal, yet universally relatable. We’ve gone for a candid honesty that we think a lot of people are going to understand.”

In late 2022, Normal Behaviour collaborated with renowned producer Keith Jeffery, refining their sound and composing new material that promises to elevate their status in the music world even further.

Their recent stint supporting The Smashing Pumpkins on the ‘World Is a Vampire’ Australian Tour has only added to their growing reputation as one of the most exciting prospects emerging from South Australia’s vibrant music scene.

Normal Behaviour draws inspiration from the rich tapestry of rock history, from the rebellious spirit of 1970s rock and 1980s goth to the raw edge of 1990s grunge.

With their latest release, the band continues to forge a path that honors the legacy of musical greats while carving out their own unique place in the contemporary rock landscape.
