Anderson Hill Wines elevates its experience with introduction of a full, seasonal menu

The Adelaide Hill winery has a new head chef and fresh new menu that has been created to pair perfectly with its award-winning wines.

As one of the highest and coolest vineyards in South Australia, Anderson Hill and its sweeping, panoramic views over the Adelaide Hills has always been a favourite among locals and visitors alike, with its award-winning wines playing the hero, delicately paired with a simple, casual menu.

But all this is about to change with Anderson Hill’s Head Chef, Jai Curran, upping the ante and elevating the current menu to the same heights as the vineyard.

“If you’re making the trip to the Adelaide Hills, we want to make sure you get the full experience,” says Jai, whose exciting new menu now rounds out the amazing offerings at the popular cellar door.

Each dish has been prepared with the Anderson Hill wine range in mind, perfectly complementing the premium, cool climate varieties making food pairing practically foolproof.

So, what’s on offer you ask? To begin, Jai has introduced a selection of small plates like his minted melon and feta salad that pairs perfectly with a refreshing Sav Blanc and a warm rosemary chorizo salad with caramelised dates and walnuts whose flavours are enhanced with a premium Anderson Hill Chardonnay.

Main course looks like a 24-hour marinated Thai beef salad with classic coriander, chilli & crispy noodles, which is spectacular with a glass of bright fruit-driven Pinot Noir by its side or, for a vegetarian option, the raw beet & fennel slaw with tart apple. Made with local, Lenswood apples, the earthy, beetroot flavours holds it own against a robust Shiraz.

To tie it all together, Jai has kept his desserts simple and classic taking local fruits and poaching them in Anderson Hill wine.

“We’re sourcing our ingredients locally, from Hahndorf to Woodside, as well as our own local fruit growers,” says Jai.

“I want our customers to fully immerse themselves in the area, local food paired with local wine.

Famed for its wood-oven pizzas, Jai has ensured the beloved menu staple will remain, with the oven firing up every weekend serving the classic flavours that first got people coming through its doors.

Jai has made a special effort to ensure no man is left unfed, incorporating a number of gluten and dairy-free dishes as well as providing flexibility to adjust many of the dishes to accommodate all dietary requirements.

The new menu at Anderson Hill is available now with bookings high recommended to avoid disappointment.
