Australian electronic artist SWIM is bringing his biggest live show yet to Adelaide

Australian electronic artist SWIM is bringing his biggest headline tour yet to Adelaide in 2027, following a sold-out Sydney Opera House show with a 14-piece orchestra.

Australian electronic artist SWIM is coming home in 2027 for his biggest Australian headline tour yet, bringing his immersive live show to Adelaide alongside dates across the country.

Melbourne-born, London-based producer Hamish Lefevre, known professionally as SWIM, will bring the tour to Hindley St Music Hall on Saturday, February 13th, following shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.

And while Adelaide will get the standalone live show, audiences in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne will see SWIM take things even further, with a full orchestra joining him for the first three dates.

Presented by UNTITLED. and Live Nation, the national tour follows SWIM’s landmark sold-out performance at the Sydney Opera House, where he performed alongside a 14-piece orchestra.

The 2027 tour will build on that experience, combining electronic production, live instrumentation, orchestral arrangements, lighting and large-scale visual production.

It is another step up for an artist whose live shows have become increasingly cinematic and theatrical, moving well beyond the traditional electronic set.

SWIM’s latest album, Dear Friend, recently reached number one on the ARIA Australian Dance Albums Chart and number five on the ARIA Australian Albums Chart.

His independently released 2024 debut, In Circles, also reached number one on the Australian Dance Albums Chart and topped the ARIA Vinyl Albums Chart.

Together, the two albums have helped establish SWIM as one of Australia’s most distinctive independent electronic artists, with more than 50 tracks and multiple EPs released since he first emerged from Melbourne’s dance music scene.

His sound is built around what he calls “emotional dance music”, combining introspective songwriting and cinematic soundscapes with club-focused production.

That idea has increasingly translated into his live performances, where electronic music meets live strings, movement and visual storytelling.

SWIM has previously recorded sweeping string arrangements with a full orchestra in Budapest and incorporated live strings and ballerinas into his shows.

He has also taken the project from intimate hometown venues to sold-out performances at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre, London’s KOKO and the Sydney Opera House, as well as major festivals across Australia and Europe.

“I’m so excited to be coming home to Australia and taking this show around the country,” he said. “Playing with an orchestra at the Sydney Opera House was such a special moment for me, and ever since then I’ve wanted to take that idea further. These shows are going to be the biggest and most ambitious shows we’ve put together yet – bringing the live music, orchestral side and electronic show into one world. I can’t wait for people to experience it.”

For Adelaide fans, the Hindley Street show will be a chance to experience the latest evolution of SWIM’s live project as he brings together the different sides of his catalogue and creative world.
