Adelaide all-girl group Bitchspawn are hitting up the Crown & Anchor Hotel on Sunday, March 20 with tracks from their new self-titled EP.
Fusing funk, grunge, riot girl, indie and Asian pop, the girls’ raw and gritty sound is softened by tight arrangements.
Lead singer Imogen’s feisty personality comes through her short and punchy, yet casual vocal delivery.
Bass guitarist Susan delivers funktastic bass lines backed by sappy chords from lead guitarist Paige, while drummer Stephanie smacks the cymbals and hi-hats in bursts of defiance in an otherwise four-to-the-floor production.
The girls get on stage at 5pm.
