The Adelaide Football Club have announced they will offer free tickets to essential public service workers for the next home game. Public sector nurses, doctors, paramedics, police officers, human services frontline workers and teachers will have access to a free ticket for the upcoming Crows match against GWS on April 30.
To recognise their ongoing dedication in the face of the pandemic, the Crows are offering public sector nurses, doctors, paramedics, police officers, human services frontline workers and teachers the chance to access a complimentary ticket to the Round Seven match at Adelaide Oval.
Frontline workers will today receive an email with details on how they can register their interest in the initiative, which is being supported by the South Australian Government.
Crows CEO Tim Silvers acknowledged the Club had been fortunate to continue playing games in Adelaide and across the country during these Covid-19 effected times.
“The pandemic has created many and wide-ranging challenges for the football industry and the broader public,” Silvers said.
“Nurses, doctors, paramedics, police officers, human services workers and teachers are among those who have given incredible service to our community and no doubt made many personal sacrifices along the way.
“Like many people, we consider ourselves the beneficiaries of their hard work and commitment.
“Offering them tickets to the footy and the chance to enjoy the atmosphere and excitement of a Crows home game is the least we could do.”
South Australia’s Premier Peter Malinauskas said frontline Covid-19 workers have made significant sacrifices to ensure the safety and wellbeing of South Australians for more than two years.
“All South Australians have been impacted by the pandemic and have had to adjust to new ways of living and working but no one has felt this strain more than those who have worked on the frontline of South Australia’s Covid response,” Premier Malinauskas said.
“Our doctors, nurses, paramedics, policy officers, teachers and human services workers are frontline heroes of this pandemic, for the personal sacrifices they make in keeping all of us safe and well.
“I thank the Adelaide Football Club for honouring South Australia’s frontline heroes of this pandemic.”
You will also have the opportunity to purchase two more tickets at half price, while having the option of attending a second home game later in the season.
