East End Cellars Norwood launches exclusive ‘Meet the Wine Maker Dinner Series’

East End Cellars Norwood has revealed its latest offering, the Meet the Wine Maker Dinner series, an exclusive journey set to captivate wine enthusiasts each month throughout the year.

Kicking off this Tuesday April 16th, the program invites guests to intimately connect with esteemed winemakers while indulging in a paired three-course dining experience crafted by East End Cellars Norwood’s Head Chef, Tess Jackson.

Prepare to delve into an exploration of fine local wines and cuisine as East End Cellars Norwood presents a lineup of exceptional events.

“We are thrilled to provide a platform for wine enthusiasts to forge meaningful connections with the
talented individuals behind the labels,” Mathieu Smeysters, Co-Owner of East End Cellars Norwood, says.

“Our Meet The Wine Maker Dinners promise an unparalleled blend of exceptional wines, gourmet
cuisine, and enriching conversations.”

The series starts with Koerner Winery, offering an unforgettable evening with Damon Koerner showcasing a range of unique and traditional varieties, including their infamous Watervale Riesling, a regional highlight.

May brings a focus on natural and biodynamic wines from Adelaide Hills favorite, Gareth Belton of Gentle Folk Wines, on the 21st. Highlighting their small batch wines, from complex Chardonnays to zippy blends.

June 12th marks an extraordinary gathering with Sam Barry of Jim Barry Wines, featuring much-loved classics from the Clare Valley region. Finally, on July 16th, indulge in the remarkable offerings of Jono Koerner from Gullyview Estate, another Clare Valley favourite from the Koerner brothers.

With the remainder of the 2024 calendar yet to be revealed and the promise of some blockbuster partnerships, it’s worth staying attuned to their socials for updates.

Each dinner is thoughtfully curated by Head Chef Tess Jackson alongside East End Cellars Norwood Co-Owner and Wine Expert Mathieu Smeysters, ensuring that local produce is paired perfectly to highlight the selection of wines from the featured wineries.

Unlike traditional wine events, the Meet the Wine Maker Dinners offer an opportunity to get up close and personal with the winemakers themselves. Guests can engage in enriching conversations, sample new releases, revisit old favourites, and discover prominent wineries they might never have the chance to experience again.

There are no obligatory speeches or lectures; instead, guests are encouraged to interact at their own pace, whether seeking in-depth knowledge or simply enjoy the moment.
