F/A-18 Hornet and P-8A Poseidon Do City Flypast

Ahead of the Edinburgh Airshow, these two aircraft are scheduled to fly over the CBD.

At approximately 10am on Thursday, an F/A-18 Hornet and P-8A Poseidon flew north along King William Street to Elder Park.

Ahead of the Edinburgh Airshow in November, the two aircraft are scheduled to fly over the CBD.

The RAAF Base Edinburgh in South Australia was announced as the host of this year’s Defence Force Air Show, which will be occurring over the 9 and 10 November 2019.

The Centenary of the famous Vickers Vimy Great Air Race where notable South Australians Sir Ross Smith and his brother Sir Keith Smith, who flew from England to Australia in 1919, won the race.

It’ll also showcase the Air Force’s newest military aircraft and technology.

From the city flypast, they two aircraft then moved towards to Henley Beach at 10:05am. Then flew to St Kilda and landed back at the RAAF base at 10.20.
