This June, there’s a free networking and professional development event designed to celebrate and support female business leaders at every stage of their journey. The Women in the West Summit 2026 is calling on South Australian women in business to get involved in the upcoming event, which will offer networking opportunities, expert speakers, practical workshops and professional development.

Hosted by Western Business Leaders and the City of Charles Sturt as the final instalment of its Women in the West Elevate Workshop Series, the summit aims to increase the confidence, capabilities and visibility of local women in business. The event is open to all South Australian women in business.

Leading the program is keynote speaker Tamsin Simounds, executive coach, entrepreneur and author of the new book The Experiment Mindset, which is set for release through Wiley in 2026.

In a keynote titled ‘Growth Isn’t Linear and Failure Isn’t Final: The Experiment Mindset for Women in Business’, Tamsin will challenge traditional ideas around success and productivity, encouraging attendees to embrace experimentation, curiosity and action over perfectionism.

With more than two decades of leadership experience across healthcare, executive coaching and entrepreneurship, Tamsin will share her own journey from corporate healthcare leader to founder of activewear brand JumpProof.

According to Tamsin, many women don’t struggle because they lack knowledge, but because taking the next step can feel overwhelming. Her Experiment Mindset Method focuses on building momentum through small, practical actions rather than waiting for the perfect moment.

Attendees will leave with a simple framework they can immediately apply to their own business, career or personal goals.

The summit will also feature a presentation from Heidi Wolff on Being Boldly Visible, alongside a community panel showcasing local women in business and the challenges, successes and lessons that have shaped their careers.

The event has been designed with connection in mind, so guests will enjoy cabaret-style seating, networking sessions throughout the morning and professional headshot opportunities. A light breakfast and morning tea will be provided, with organisers encouraging guests to stay on after the formal program to continue conversations and forge new business relationships.

The event is supported by the South Australian Government’s Office for Small and Family Business through the Connecting Women in Business grant program and forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen opportunities for women-led businesses across the state.

With female entrepreneurship continuing across South Australia, the event serves as a reminder that success is often built not in isolation, but through community, collaboration and shared experiences.

So for women looking to invest in themselves and their business this year, the Women in the West Summit offers a chance to gain fresh perspectives, practical advice and valuable connections, and could be the perfect place to start.
