Its the middle of winter, and we are now in lockdown, but thankfully Barossa Distilling Co. are giving us another way to warm ourselves up at home.
They will now be delivering their ever-so-popular gin-infused hot chocolate to Adelaidians who are craving the epic combination of gin and a traditional hot choccy.
Ordinarily, this tasty beverage is on offer at their cellar door, which has been turned into a COVID-safe bottle shop to keen in accordance with the latest restrictions. The winter warmer comes as a collaboration of the distillery with their next door neighbours, Bean Addiction, who provide the chocolate powder to be fused with the house Barossa Distilling Co. gin and brandy mix.
If the combination of gin and chocolate isn’t quite enough, you’ll be pleased to know the deliciously sweet cocktail is also topped with whipped cream and garnished with even more chocolate powder.
The cocktail’s return is in light of crazy demand (understandably so) that the South Aussie distillery saw following its last launch, and is available for the whole of the winter season for $14.00.
If you find yourself positively addicted to the blend you can also re-create the magic at home, with take-home packages available that including both Barossa Distilling Co’s gin and brandy mix, and hot chocolate.
