Hendrick’s Gin is inviting Fringe festival goers to visit its latest pop-up performance space at Adelaide gin bar, The Howling Owl. The pop up is open now until the end of the Fringe season (Saturday 20 March).
The Hendrick’s Monocle is taking over the Urban Cow site next door, allowing the venue to spread out its 150 scheduled performances across both spaces.
During weekend events, the Hendrick’s Gin Victoriana Bar will turn into a whimsical outdoor experience – making it a great spot to visit and sip on some astonishingly decadent seasonal cocktails. Hendrick’s Gin promises the pop up will “excite your tongue and satisfy your desire for wild new unusual pleasures”.
Owners of The Howling Owl, Rachel and Mick Krieg, are super excited to partner with Hendrick’s Gin and play host to The Hendrick’s Monocle.
“The arts community was hit early and hard by the Covid-19 crisis. It is so important to continue to support the arts community to get through this together,” said Rachel and Mick.
“The partnership with Hendrick’s Gin has allowed us to open our doors to the community and assisted us with showcasing 150 performances across the venue. We can’t wait to share this creative collaboration with all visitors to the East End during what is set to be an exciting Adelaide Fringe”.
Some of the Fringe performances hosted by The Howling Owl include the Best of British comedy show, Claire Hooper – Tea, and Rudy-Lee Taurua: Send Rudes.
“We are thrilled to work with The Howling Owl to create a residency which will highlight diverse voices, enriching Australia’s live stand-up comedy scene and provide exciting, emerging artists with the platform to reach new audiences,” said Hendrick’s Gin’s Marketing Manager, Nathan James.
“At the Hendrick’s Monocle festival goers will be able to experience some of the more ‘unusual’ entertainment Fringe offers while sipping on a delectably refreshing Hendrick’s Gin & Tonic, complete with cucumber of course”.
