Have you met Lady With Van? It’s a funky cute purpose-built retro caravan bringing together coffee and art.

The lady behind the van is Joanne Roomes, who has been trading for just over a year.

Jo bought the van with her husband 18 months ago from Melbourne. Loving the retro vibe with its modern features, Jo decided the coffee van endeavour was the chance to bring together her passions.

“I’ve always loved coffee and art and this combines both,” Jo said.

“Because it’s a small van, I sometimes take my art and put it around the van or I bring brochures to show people what’s on offer.

“It’s just combining both of the passions.”

Lady With Van caters for private events. It brings celebrations to life with amazing coffee, as well as other cold and hot beverages.

Tailored beverage packages are also available to suit whatever drinks you’re after.  With packages available to suit hire durations from 2 hours, to all day, to evenings, Lady With Van will cover all your function and event needs.

The caravan can serve alcohol too, which you can BYO as a cheaper option.

Whether you’re having a party, corporate event, wedding or engagement, Lady With Van can do the pouring. The caravan can also be found at markets, festivals, product launches and more.

Lady With Van can do even more by providing party bags, and a selection of sweet and savoury snacks too. Jo said she can order from her local bakery to provide delicious snack or prepare these herself.

When Jo isn’t catering for private events, you can find her at Marshmallow Park Playspace on Sundays (and some other days) as well as the Old Spot Markets in Salisbury on Saturday mornings.

Lady With Van also pops up on North Terrace from time to time to cure your caffeine cravings.

A lot of Jo’s amazing artwork can be found at Duke Of Brunswick. She’s done a number of exhibitions in the past, while she has another exhibition booked in at the Minor Works building, Sturt Street at the end of the year.

Jo said she takes inspiration from Klimt and Picasso. She describes her art as innovative, colourful and full of light. She loves to combining silver, gold or copper in most of her pieces with help from her husband.

Jo has sustainability in mind too with a habit for recycling and using unusual platforms to make her work interesting and different.
