Here at Glam we live to give our readers sneak peeks of what’s coming up in our amazing city, and with Santa having arrived in town, the build up to December 25 is well and truly underway!
So in the spirit of Christmas, and because on Sunday 17 December one of Adelaide’s biggest Christmas Markets will bring Light Square alive, we’ve got our hands on a sneak preview of what the Greaton Christmas in the Park 2017 has to offer!
In case you’ve missed it, the Greaton Christmas in the Park 2017 is set to be bigger and better than ever before. FREE entry leads way to food vendors, gift shops, wine (we’re ready!!), rides and more! Plus, the whole thing is a charitable affair, with a Salvation Army Tree of Hope to leave gifts and non-perishable foods for those in need this Christmas.
Did we mention that the kids rides are by gold coin donation? So you’ll be keeping them happy, and also helping out the Salvation Army! In an added bonus, these are the kind of kids rides you’ll want to go on as an adult. We’ve been given the 411, and make sure you bring bathers there’s going to be giant waterslides thanks to Jump Easy. You’ll also be able to get a birds eye view over the city atop the Girdler Family ferris wheel as it spins you 20 metres into the air!
Of course, there’s plenty of food on offer because after a hard day of water-sliding and shopping, lunch will be pretty high on the list of priorities! Just a tast of the local food ventures that will be on offer on the day include a Rotary BBQ (would it be summer with a Rotary sausage sizzle?), Moorish Bites, Filipino Project, Mr Donuts, The Sky Doodle, Bobaz T and more!!
Stick around once you’ve eaten and soak in some of the live music that’s on offer. Grab a drink from the pop-up bar and catch local acoustic artists, a DJ, or even the Salvation Army Band who’ll be carolling to get us all in the festive spirit.
We don’t really need an excuse, but it wouldn’t really be a Christmas event without gift stalls selling a vast array of options so we can get Gran and the dog a gift all at one venue. We’ve been told that we’ll find Wishhcraft, TNT Toys n Things, Paisley Wines and lots more surprise gift stalls at the Greaton Christmas in the Park 2017.
The lively Christmas event will be located at Light Square, on the corner of Morphett and Waymouth Streets and runs from 11am until 4pm on December 17. For more info head here.
