Cruise-goers, get ready to party: Virgin Voyages is embarking on an adults-only New Year’s Eve voyage in December next year, with Adelaide featured as a prominent destination.
Those who love celebrating New Year’s in style will be on board the cruise ship ‘Resilient Lady,’ which has something special in store: the ‘Resilient New Year’s Ahoy,’ a 7-night sailing journey which is a blend of luxury, fun, and adventure.
With no dress code and no children allowed, the New Year’s Ahoy cruise is a fabulous opportunity for adults to let their hair down and ring in the New Year.
Starting in Melbourne on December 29th 2024, the ship will steer towards Adelaide, offer a picturesque stop at Kangaroo Island, sail Southwards to the charming Hobart before charting its course back to Melbourne, including a total of three sea days.
The Resilient Lady is a game-changer for holidaymakers looking to experience luxury on the seas and is a part of Virgin Voyages’ esteemed ‘Lady Ships’ fleet, exuding grandeur and sophistication.
“Resilient Lady is a boutique hotel on the ocean, designed to feel like a super yacht; great dining, great service; but more importantly, all that wonderful attention to detail you expect from luxury experiences. No stuffy formalities here, no dress codes, no set dining times, no buffets, no big dining halls. And we think the Aussie public will love this product,” Virgin Voyages CEO Nirmal Saverimuttu said.
In more exciting news for Adelaide, the luxurious Virgin Voyager ‘Resilient Lady’ cruise ship is set to grace the shores of our city not once, but twice next year, as the ship will also set sail on a 6-night journey traversing Australia’s South Coast.
The ship will cruise from the sun-kissed beaches of Perth, cruise through Albany, make its way to beautiful Adelaide, and complete its voyage in the bustling city of Melbourne.
This week, Virgin Voyagers wrapped up its first day in Sydney, celebrating a dazzling Australian debut and was welcomed in lavish style by founder Sir Richard Branson.
“Welcoming Resilient Lady into Sydney on a speedboat, with all two thousand guests waving as I went around it was definitely one of those wonderful moments. Virgin Voyages have got every little detail right,” Richard said.
The Resilient Lady, the latest addition to Virgin Voyages’ acclaimed fleet and the third ship in the multi-award-winning lineup, has dropped anchor at Circular Quay’s Overseas Passenger Terminal, unveiling its extraordinary features to the early risers of Sydney.
‘Resilient Lady’ shares the limelight with other luxurious ships Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, and Brilliant Lady. An ultra-distinctive feature that sets Virgin Voyages’ fleet apart? Its adults-only experience.
When it comes to accommodation, Virgin Voyages has gone all out: 86% of the cabins offer balconies, while 93% boast ocean views. The ‘Resilient Lady’ can host a remarkable 2,770 sailors, supported by an incredible crew of 1,160 members.
