Do you consider yourself a culinary genius? Have you got what it takes to join the ranks of Australia’s most loved cooking show?
Great news for South Australian cooking gurus, applications for Channel 10’s Masterchef are now open, so you can put your skills to the test in series 15.
If you’re an amateur cook ready to experience the highs and lows of the Masterchef kitchen, wow the judges (and Australia) with show-stopping creations and win the prestigious title – now’s your chance!
To apply, head to the Channel 10 website and complete an application. Hopeful constants are encouraged to include pictures of their best recently cooked dishes, as well as a 1-3-minute video showing off their talents, and talking about what cooking means to them (video encouraged but not mandatory!)
Since gracing our television screens in 2009, Masterchef has produced an array of beloved South Aussie contests that have gone on to leave their mark in the cooking world, most notably Poh Ling Yeow.
Competing in the first-ever season, Poh has created a culinary empire in Australia, star in several cooking shows, and is the brains behind Jamface, the ever-popular gourmet food stall at Adelaide Farmer’s Market (previously Adelaide Central Markets).
Other South Australian favourites include Barossa-born Callum Hann at Sprout Cooking School, Laura Sharrard who opened high-end bar Fugazzi earlier this year and 2018 winner Sashi Cheliah, the mastermind behind Pirie Street restaurant Gaja by Sashi.
Filming will run for approximately 30 weeks, commencing October 2022 and concluding in June 2023, with a break over Christmas and New Year.
Applicants must have never cooked in any professional capacity, be 18 years or older by October and an Australian citizen.
Applications close on 11:59pm on Sunday 14th August, so get in quick if you think you’ve got what it takes to win!
