Last weekend, the 2020 AFL season was officially suspended.
In lieu of this, Seven has announced it will be streaming iconic AFL games tonight to fill the footy-shaped hole in Australia’s heart.
South Australia’s game is the Round 19, 2013 Showdown between Adelaide and Port Adelaide.
In a press conference on Sunday, AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan confirmed the 2020 season will be immediately suspended until May 31.
The season will then be reviewed, with the potential for the restart date to be extended.
The AFL plan is to play all remaining games plus finals this year, with McLachlan stressing the importance of remaining agile and flexible as to when these games will be held.
