In redefining the world of modern striptease, Australia’s Queen of Burlesque, IMOGEN KELLY presents a sensational display of neo-burlesque stars in her new Adelaide Fringe show ‘Strip the Light Fantastic’.
Coasting on the coat tails of the La La Parlour’s award winning, hit show Tarnished and her sell out solo show The Undressing Room, Imogen is back with another troop of leggy performers.
Expect excessively saucy moves, outrageous characters, syncopated eighties jazz dance, Glomesh and leg warmers, sex appeal with a satirical switchblade- giant record players, hot Stepford style house-wifery, wind machines galore, 1970’s nude male pin up spectaculars and messed up beauty-pageantry. Strip The Light Fantastic promises to both shock and seduce.
This all star, world class, Neo burlesque line-up of performance artists have used 1980’s dance phenomenon The Solid Gold Dancers as their inspiration.
These smoking guns of performance striptease have been handpicked from the stages of Sydney’s burlesque scene from the decadent underground to The Opera House. Do not assume that this is burlesque as you have come to know it; although overloaded with charismatic glamour of world-class performers – these ladies will also have you rolling in the aisles.
