Tasmania opening border to South Australia this week

Travellers who have only spent time in low-risk areas in the 14 days prior to arrival in Tasmania will not be required to quarantine.

Tasmania is set to ease border restrictions with South Australia, classifying the state as a low-risk area as of Thursday 3 December.

Travellers who have only spent time in low-risk areas in the 14 days prior to arrival in Tasmania will not be required to quarantine.

The exception is people who have visited certain premises or locations identified as high-risk by SA Health.

These places will be specified by the Director of Public Health, with further information to be released today.

Anyone in quarantine based on time spent in SA will be able to end their quarantine on 3 December.
