Thirty-seven plays for the price of one

The-Complete-WorksIs it possible to out-Python Monty?

In a world where we constantly lament that we are “time-poor”, who has the time or, indeed, the stamina to endure the daunting length of the immortal Bard’s canon? The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) is a bold, speedy, irreverent romp by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield through all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays!

With improvisation, pop culture, audience participation and one very fast and funny Hamlet, three brave actors brazenly blend the best of the brilliant Bard with scrapings from the bottom of the absurdity barrel in this farcical feast of inspired lunacy.

Since its first production, performed by the Reduced Shakespeare Company 25 years ago, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) has become a global phenomenon with seasons in more than 20 countries including a record-breaking nine year run at London’s Criterion Theatre in the West End.

Tim Overton joins original cast member and comedian Damian Callinan in this State Theatre Company of South Australia production, presented by Country Arts SA and directed by Adam Cook.
