One of Adelaide’s most scenic restaurants is offering a $29 lunch and wine deal

Rozelle’s at Carrick Hill is bringing some life back to mid-week winter lunches with a $29 June special, offering Italian-inspired dishes and a glass of wine in the Adelaide foothills.

If lunches sometimes drift into becoming a bit of an afterthought, then mid-week lunches in the middle of winter can often verge on being dismissed altogether. But the team at Rozelle’s aren’t fans of that.

They want to make mid-week lunches something to get a little excited about, and we think their latest deal might just do the trick.

Weekdays in winter don’t need to become disappointing excuses for tomato soup, or easy takeaway lunches eaten snuggled up at home or tucked away in the warmth of the office. The team at Rozelle’s in Carrick Hill are offering a $29 lunch deal for the rest of June, Wednesday to Friday, and it’s the perfect excuse to change up the usual scenery for the gorgeous Adelaide foothills, which really come alive this time of year.

For $29, visitors can choose between the Chicken Costoletta (a crumbed chicken dish served with radicchio, cos and lemon) or the Rigatoni alla Vodka (tomato and vodka pasta with basil and ricotta salata), both paired with a glass of wine.

“These two dishes have always been so popular with guests of all ages! The Costoletta is one of our favourite traditional Italian dishes, and something a little different you can’t get just anywhere, and the Rigatoni alla Vodka is just a well-loved classic. When we were putting this lunch deal together, it felt obvious,” tells the Rozelle’s team.

And the setting for this lunchtime affair couldn’t be more picturesque. Located within the iconic 100-acre Carrick Hill estate, Rozelle’s showcases some of the best relaxed, laid-back Italian dining that Adelaide has to offer, with a view overlooking the lush green surrounds.

With a menu designed by Josh Cooke, who trained under British chef Rick Stein and worked alongside the late Jock Zonfrillo as Head Chef at the Adelaide institution Orana, we’re predicting that while this lunch deal might be low in price, it’s likely big on flavour.
