The Bloody Mary is a classic cocktail with a complicated history. Unclear origin aside, it has supposedly been around for approximately 85 years.
While there’s no actual evidence that the Bloody Mary can legitimately cure a hangover, it’s nonetheless a bar favourite and almost a certainty on any cocktail menu.
As with many classic cocktails, bartenders and restaurateurs alike have worked and reworked the concoction.
The Moseley Bar & Kitchen’s recent iteration is the Bacon Vodka Bloody Mary.
The cocktail features bacon infused 42 below, Worcestershire sauce, tobasco, lemon juice, celery salt, and tomato juice.
And a cheeseburger.
Truly a sight for sore eyes on a Sunday morning, this glorious Bloody Mary may just be the thing we didn’t know we needed in our lives.
According to the Moseley, the Bacon Vodka Bloody Mary is available as part of the Winter cocktail list.
The list changes seasonally so if you are after a taste of the Bloody Mary and its accompanying burger, we’d recommend getting in ASAP.
Other cocktails currently on offer include a Smoked Old Fashioned with smoked makers mark, chocolate bitters, and sugar syrup, and the Jessica Rabbit with domain de canton, lemon juice, gingerbread syrup, vodka, bitters, and egg white.
