‘The Rock ‘n Soul Medicine Show’

‘The Rock ‘n Soul Medicine Show’, is a series of national performances which brings together two iconic Australian artists in Tim Rogers (You Am I) and The Bamboos (Australia’s greatest Soul/Funk export).

In December lucky fans at Homebake in Sydney had a taste of what’s to come, with Tim Rogers hopping up on stage with The Bamboos to do killer versions of the song that brought them together, “I Got Burned”, and adding his now well honed falsetto to the 2010 Bamboos track “You Ain’t No Good”. “I Got Burned” has garnered some very notable end of year accolades, coming in at #4 on the ‘Song Of The Year’ lists in The Age and the Sydney Morning Herald, and at #5 on the Mess + Noise ‘Australian Song Of The Year’ critic’s poll.

The ten piece onstage line-up for these very special shows will feature Rogers, bandleader Lance Ferguson on guitar, and will of course feature the stunning resident Bamboos vocalists Kylie Auldist and Ella Thompson. These raucous merchants of Soul and Rock ‘n Roll will be rambling into your town very soon, peddling musical elixirs new and old from their own extensive back catalogues, alongside some carefully hand-picked covers.
