Timeless Australian fashion brand Assembly Label officially opens on Rundle Street

Timeless and versatile clothing brand Assembly Label will be opening its first Adelaide store on Rundle Street.

While you’ve been able to add Assembly Label’s timeless and versatile clothing to your cart for some time, now you can purchase from them in person at its new store on Rundle Street.

Its the first Adelaide bricks-and-mortar store – covering roughly 90sqm of boutique space – which features polished terrazzo concrete flooring, subtle and natural interiors and stunning wooden details.

The high roofs and stunning scent of sandalwood and bergamot permeates through the store and gives off the sense that this boutique is truely a place of natural luxury.

The Australian label was first established in 2011 by Damien Horan and Daniel Oliver with the goal to make capsule wardrobe dressing easy by creating stunning designs that stand the test of time.

It’s something they’ve achieved through designing with circularity in mind and making sure their apparel is made from high quality natural or recycled materials.

The label which is loved by fashion icons like Talisa Sutton and Rosalie Alexandra is known for its classic silhouettes and signature neutral colour palette, which is sure to be popular in Adelaide.

Like the other Assembly Label stores currently slotted around Australia, the new shop on Rundle Street will have a repair service. If a garment you purchase loses a button, a thread comes loose or you pull a seam, they will get it professionally mended free of charge.

It’s a part of their re-worn program which is designed to extend the life of Assembly Label clothing and support a circular economy.

So far, they’ve laundered and repaired 1360 items and collected 243kg of unrepairable garments, which we then sent to their textile recycling partner SCR Group.

This naturally flows from their passion for community. They’re very involved in environmental and social causes and have raised over $315,000 for charities so far.

The Adelaide store also includes some of its lifestyle range which features everything from candles to coffee table books.

It’s a nice addition to Adelaide’s East End as Rundle Street starts to bounce back as a fashion haven with Viktoria + Woods opening up and Cue and Veronika Maine to join the street in the coming months.
