World Chocolate Day is this Thursday, July 7th and a number of Adelaide’s best have come to the table with special treats, deals and events that look absolutely sweet.

From SA chocolatier heavyweights to smaller shops and pubs wanting to get in on the fun, there’s an event or deal for every chocolate fiend in Adelaide. 

Here’s how the city’s chocolate-loving venues and shops are celebrating World Chocolate Day.

Rezz Hotel

In honour of this sacred day, Rezz Hotel in Newton is adding three fruchocs-inspired dishes to its menu. A Chocolate Molten Cake, Chocolate Mousse and a serve of Authentic Spanish Churros, each featuring a delicious FruChocs flavour twist, will be available for the month of July at Rezz.

Haigh’s Chocolates

South Australia’s beloved bean-to-bar chocolatier is set to release new limited-edition chocolate exclusively for World Chocolate Day on July 7, 2022. 

To celebrate the wild and wonderful day, Haigh’s chocolate factory is releasing two limited edition products. Giving away a milk caramel slice, or mint chocolate slice, whilst those who miss out on winning the delicious treat, can still be purchased until stock is all sold out. Melba’s Chocolates

South Australia’s own Melba’s Chocolates is going above and beyond for World Chocolate Day, celebrating with a whole fun-filled day of activities. 

From 9am until 4:30pm on Thursday 7th of July, head into the Woodside factory for a FREE hot chocolate, with various Milk, White, and Dark chocolates to taste and enjoy!

Both kids and adults can be entertained by watching yummy treats be created, and chocolate marshmallow dipper cups be made for tasting, get to Melba’s chocolate factory while you can!

Barossa Valley Chocolate Company

The Barossa Valley Chocolate Company will have special treats and deals available for World Chocolate Day. 

Each customer will receive free chocolate with every purchase and any purchase over $50 will go in a draw to win wonderful BVCC chocolate hamper worth $100.

The chocolate cafe will be bringing back the famous Pizza + wine deal, including a stone-baked Pizza and a glass of vineyard red wine for $25. With a wine and chocolate pairing, using original Barossa Valley wines and chocolate. Can you think of a better way to spend your world chocolate day?

The Bridgewater Inn

From 8 pm on the 7th of July, you can enjoy wine and chocolate tasting next to a toasty fire. With chocolates provided by Red Cacao Chocolatier and wines by Sidewood Estate, experience four expert pairings of chocolate with wine as you are personally guided through the experience. The pairing will set you back just $25 and there’s even a grass area for the kids to play while you replenish your tastebuds!
