The Adelaide Convention Centre is pleased to announce that internationally-trained chef Derek Salmon has taken over the role of Head Chef at Regattas Bistro.
With experience from England’s Michelin Three Star restaurants, Fat Duck, Gordon Ramsay and the Waterside Inn, Derek brings his passion for fine dining and attention to detail to his new role.
Also boasting experience at five-star hotels, The Royal Garden Hotel and Mayfair Intercontinental Hotel, and as corporate chef of LEGOLAND Windsor, Chef Salmon is thrilled to be working with his new team at Regattas Bistro.
“Regatta’s Bistro is a stylish, contemporary restaurant with a unique riverfront setting and I’m looking forward to playing an important role in delivering the high standards for which it is renowned. At the same time I’ll take great pleasure in putting my own unique touch on an innovative seasonal menu with plenty of modern influences developed from market-fresh South Australian produce,” Derek said.
Derek takes on the role after working as Regatta’s Chef de Partie since moving to Australia in October 2009. While Regattas Bistro has its own identity, it is part of the Adelaide Convention Centre and has the same exacting standards for which the Centre is known worldwide.
Regatta’s Bistro is open weekdays for lunch and dinner, Saturdays for breakfast, lunch and dinner and Sundays for breakfast and lunch.
