99 Gang Social & Threefold Distilling collab with coastal-inspired South Cali gin feast

The 99 Gang Social x Threefold Distilling collaboration will feature Southern Cali/Mexi style street food and coastal-inspired cocktails.

We’re picking up good vibrations from 99 Gang Social this December, which is set to launch a one-night-only, coastal-inspired dining experience.

Partnering with Glenelg’s gin gem, Threefold Distilling, the duo will be presenting it’s 7-course menu ‘Good Vibrations’ on Saturday 10th December from 7pm – 10pm.

The 99 Gang Social x Threefold Distilling collab will be a celebration of Southern Californian sounds, eats and drinks, focussing on Southern Cali/Mexi style street food, which is super light, tropical and bursting with flavour.

While 99 Gang Social is known for hosting its monthly 99 Wine Club dinners, this will be the venue’s first 99 Gin Club, with the Threefold team taking over the bar and making magic happen.

While the menu is subject to change, here is a sneak peek of the dining experience!

The tropical 7-course menu will begin with spicy jalapeno poppers, served with Threefold’s very own ‘Barbara Ann’ made with GSM and ginger ale.

This will be followed by Baja Tacos, which features panko fried barramundi, pico de galo, avocado and ranch. Guests will be able to wash down their tacos with the sweet ‘Kokomo’ cocktail, concocted with Threefold’s beloved coconut gin, honeydew, pineapple, and pineapple skin sherry.

The third course will be three delicious tostadas, layered with a variety of fresh and flavour-packed toppings, such as chipotle pawns, El pollo loco and carne asada. If you think this will be a Californian party in your mouth, wait until you pair it with the ‘Surfin’ USA’ cocktail, made with aromatic gin, bitter grapefruit soda, lemon, and salt.

We doubt you’ll be hungry with the Baby Kahuna cheeseburger sliders set to come up next, paired with the ‘Little Deuce Coupe’ – a delicious mixture of coconut gin, lime and jalapeno soda.

Get your final spice kick with the spicy fries and the ‘I Get Around’ cocktail (Mezcal, Tangellocello, capsicum, orange, and habanero) before cooling things down with some ice cream and a fortune cookie for your last course.

Round out your culinary journey with Threefold’s final, appropriately-named drops on the menu – the ‘Wouldn’t it be Nice’ (frontignac gin, honey, chamomile, honey, lemon & orange) and the ‘God Only Knows’, which is a blood orange negroni.

The 7-course Good Vibrations collaboration dinner will be hosted in the Gang team’s brand new upstairs venue, Thirsty Tiger, which opened in November 2022. To find out more about the venue, click here. To secure your spot at the dinner, book here.
