A bottle that begins life in the Flinders Ranges is now sitting among some of the world’s finest spirits in one of the globe’s most celebrated cocktail bars.
Flinders Gin, the family-owned distillery based in Quorn, can now be found on the shelves of Singapore’s iconic Atlas Bar, a venue internationally recognised for housing one of the world’s most impressive gin collections.
For founders Leah and Alby Trotta, it’s a milestone years in the making, built through genuine relationships, countless conversations and a shared passion for regional South Australia.
Being stocked at Atlas is no small achievement for the regional distillery. The glamorous Singapore venue is regarded as one of the world’s premier destinations for gin lovers, showcasing exceptional spirits from around the globe.
“Atlas has an incredible reputation as one of the world’s great gin bars, so seeing Flinders Gin on their shelves was both exciting and humbling. It reflects the value of building genuine connections and sharing our story beyond Australia,” said Leah.
“The opportunity came through relationships we’ve built over time. Alby recently travelled to Singapore and spent time visiting bars, distilleries and industry contacts.”

Since launching in 2021, Flinders Gin has been creating spirits that capture the unique landscape of the Flinders Ranges, drawing inspiration from the region’s native botanicals, heritage and distinctive sense of place.
Operating from a restored farrier’s workshop and stable in Quorn, the Trotta family have created a destination that celebrates the stories, flavours and people of outback South Australia.
“Everything we do starts with place,” said Leah. “We wanted to create a gin that genuinely reflects the arid landscape we call home. The Flinders Ranges are rugged, resilient and full of character (both the place and the people), and we try to capture that sense of place through our botanicals, our storytelling and even the heritage buildings where we make every bottle.”
That authentic regional identity has proven to be a powerful drawcard overseas.
“The response has been really encouraging. People are fascinated by the story of Quorn and the Flinders Ranges, and they appreciate that we’re a genuine regional producer, living on-site and employing locals, rather than a large faceless commercial brand. We often find that the story creates the first conversation, and the quality of the gin keeps it going.”
Singapore is now becoming a key launchpad for Flinders Gin’s expansion across Asia. Alongside its presence at Atlas, the distillery is working with distributors and brand representatives to introduce its products to more premium venues, with presentations underway for Marina Bay Sands and the Qantas Singapore Lounge.
The business is also planning on expanding into China through a new distribution partnership, while discussions are progressing in Taiwan, South Korea and the Philippines.
“Asian markets have a growing desire for the clean, pristine, locally made product that South Australians do so well,” Leah said.

Back home, the Trotta family is preparing for another exciting milestone with the upcoming release of Flinders Gin’s first single malt whisky, which has been patiently maturing for two years at the Quorn distillery.
The team is also continuing to expand its visitor experiences, inviting more travellers to discover the Flinders Ranges through tastings, storytelling and local hospitality.
Ultimately, for Alby and Leah, every export bottle represents much more than a sale.
“We’re proud to be showing that a small business from Quorn can stand comfortably on the world stage while remaining deeply connected to the community and landscape that inspired it.”
