Adelaide Joins Worldwide Animal Rights March This Saturday

This weekend’s event will unite Adelaide with marches around Australia and the world including the USA, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, The Philippines, Norway, the UK, Sweden and Poland.

On Saturday 25th August, Adelaide will hold its first Official Animal Rights March.

The event will unite Adelaide with marches around Australia and the world including the USA, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, The Philippines, Norway, the UK, Sweden and Poland.

The animal rights movement is widely considered to be the fastest growing social justice movement of our time, as evidenced by the growing rise of veganism and increasing public interest in animal welfare.

Similar events have gained significant media attention, such as the 2017 march in Tel Aviv which attracted an incredible 30,000 people, and the march in London which had 5,000 people in attendance.

Adelaide organisers expect hundreds of people from all walks of life to march through the city, with men, women, young and old joining together to stand up for animals.

The event organisers are Adelaide Animal Save, Animal Activists Australia and Animal Rights South Australia.

The march will commence in Light Square at 5pm and will proceed to Rundle Mall where speeches and public outreach will take place, then make its way back to Light Square.

The Official Animal Rights March is symbolic of a growing change in society’s attitudes which is inspiring people all over the world to stand up for the rights of animals.
