Balinese blues rockers, Unb’rocken, to play outdoor in gig in Mount Barker this weekend

With beer tastings from Silverbark Brewing and a new wine launch from Farmyard Wines, this is set to be a great, music-filled day out.

If sitting in the sunshine, sipping on chardonnay and listening to live music sounds like the perfect Sunday afternoon, then you’re in luck because this weekend you can do exactly that at The Landing Café in Mount Barker.

Situated on lush lawns overlooking the river in Mount Barker’s East Village, The Landing overcame numerous obstacles to finally open its doors to a welcoming public in June this year with the community-based café bringing a strong focus on the locality through both its food and events with another cracker on happening this weekend when Balinese rockers, Unb’rocken take to the stage.

Kicking off at The Landing from 12pm, you’ll be joined by the team at Silverbark Brewery who will be running a beer tasting van along with Farmyard Wines who will be launching their new release, ‘Chardo-neigh’ on the day.

Formed in Ubud, Unb’rocken is the result of two friends who decided to explore their passion for music together and ultimately ended up forming one of the most sought-after bands on the live music scene.

From humble beginnings playing at local venues in and around Ubud, they quickly began making a name for themselves with their high energy performances of blues, rock and funk.

They were eventually asked to become regular headliners at prestigious music venues, The Orchard Bar & Restaurant, Jazz Cafe and The Laughing Buddha Bar, before hitting the big time and appearing on the bill for some of Indonesia’s biggest festivals such as Bali Blues Festival, Sanur Village Festival and Lombok Blues Festival.

Currently the band are working on their second album and undertaking their first tour outside of Indonesia, which includes a full 9-leg tour of South Australia.

When: Sunday, 27th November

Where: The Landing at East Village – 1 Aston Parade, Mount Barker
