Brothers at War cellar door celebrates 1st birthday with wines, vines & Barossa burgers

Tanunda cellar door Brothers At War celebrating with a one year anniversary party inviting the community of family and friends for the October long weekend.

The bright winery team of Brothers at War are throwing a party at their cellar door to celebrate their first birthday. An event for the October long weekend to experience the best on offer in the valley.

Right in the heart of Tanunda, the family are commemorating the opening of their quaint cottage door location with an experience of award-winning wine, good food and live music for all.

Born and bred in the Barossa, brothers Angus and Sam Wardlaw pride themselves on the familiar and warm atmosphere that Brothers at War represents. Coming from a father and pioneer in the industry the winemaking inheritance seemed natural.

Winning a handful of awards in September of last year, the boys impulsively bought a heritage building in Tanunda and have transformed it whilst staying true to the inherited site in the centre of a flourishing community.

A spokesperson from the Brothers At War team says “opening a cellar door was something Sam and Angus always wanted to do. The building has been here since 1840 and the locals of all generations recognise it from over the years. We all feel like we’re the custodians of the building and we’re making sure it’s a great place for everyone.”

Now Brothers at War have renovated the building and added a garden outside with the original stables neatly furnished with wine barrel tables and greenery providing warm and welcoming vibes.

From noon till late, this home of fine tastes is offering the best wines and foods across the state. There’s no better setting for your Sunday than the main street of Tanunda.

The cellar door will be backed by local acoustic guitar vocalist Amber Kalleske to accompany a rich array of wines and delicious food.

The owner Angus is an aspiring cooking enthusiast but is blitzing it with house-made burgers in the kitchen. Pair this with a range of Shiraz, Grenache, Mataro and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Barossa and Eden Valley it’s more than appetising. For families they even have fun games supplied to entertain the kids while the adults relax and enjoy themselves.

The Brothers at War cellar door is Tanunda’s go to spot for family and friends for delicate exquisite wines and a calming domestic homely environment.

Sunday October 2 from noon till late. Bookings preferred but not essential. Bookings and enquiries can be made by phone at 0472 915 599 or via email [email protected]
