Crystalbrook Collection, Australia’s premier independent five-star sustainably-led hospitality company has been appointed to manage the groundbreaking $130 million new build, luxe hotel in the heart of Adelaide city.

Set to open its doors in 2026, Crystalbrook Sam, as the hotel will be known, is poised to redefine luxury and sophistication in South Australia. The brainchild of the esteemed Adelaide-based Samaras Group, Crystalbrook Sam represents innovation and sustainability, paving the way for a new era of hospitality excellence in the region.

Rising majestically over 13 levels, Crystalbrook Sam will boast over 200 thoughtfully designed guest rooms, a lobby adorned with communal spaces fostering connection and relaxation, and a breathtaking rooftop Eleme Spa and Bath House offering unparalleled vistas of the city skyline.

Ghassan Aboud, Founder and Chairman of the Ghassan Aboud Group and owner of Crystalbrook Collection, expressed his enthusiasm, highlighting Crystalbrook Sam as the group’s eighth jewel in Australia’s hospitality crown.

“Crystalbrook Collection has invested in excess of $1bn in Australia where we operate close to 2,000 rooms, including those under development. We are delighted to expand our footprint into South Australia, delivering a new style of luxury, innovation and sustainably-led hospitality to the state,” he said.

Culinary enthusiasts can indulge in the hotel’s restaurant and bar, while various meeting spaces and a Wellness Centre cater to the needs of both guests and locals alike.

With Adelaide’s visitor expenditure hitting $5.3 billion in 2023 and projected international tourism recovery by 2025, the timing couldn’t be more perfect for Crystalbrook Sam to make its grand debut.

Positioned at 15 Halifax Street, Crystalbrook Sam will be a testament to the Samaras Group’s legacy of excellence in property development, promising a world-class luxury destination that showcases the very best of the region.

Geoff York, Chief Executive Officer for Crystalbrook Collection, elaborated on the strategic move into Adelaide, citing the city’s rapid tourism growth and diverse offerings in food, wine, nature, and culture.
