Star Academy is a family-owned performing arts studio located in the CBD. The Academy is headed by Creative Director, Jenna Maiolo and Academy Principal, Kristy Burns.

Star Academy aims to release your child’s inner star potential! They provide the best education in all facets of performing arts in a safe, professional and super fun environment.

From dance, musical theatre, acting to singing, and even acrobatics, there’s definitely something for your child to find their passion!

The academy which is celebrating its 11th year in 2022 is seeking the next generation of stars.

Creative Director, Jenna Maiolo who has been with the academy since its inception says some former students are pursuing performance arts.

“Some students have moved interstate to pursue their dreams of the performing world! We couldn’t be prouder,” said Jenna.

The performing arts academy is a welcoming space for children and teenagers looking to get their start in the entertainment industry or just to have fun with friends.

Jenna told Glam Adelaide that anyone is welcome from beginner to advanced performers with enrollments beginning at age 2.5 years.

Star Academy offers many styles of dance including jazz, contemporary, ballet, tap and hip hop, as well as singing, acting and musical theatre classes.

Jenna said that performing arts is great for children’s confidence.

“Performing arts allows students to gain confidence by expressing themselves in a safe and fun environment,” Jenna said.

“They have opportunities to perform which helps to boost their self-esteem.

“We pride ourselves in ensuring that students have a safe space and one that allows us to nurture their development in Performing arts and in life.”
