After selling out last year, Fire & Stone is making a welcome return to Lost Phoenix Farm this August, bringing another unforgettable afternoon of food, wine and fireside festivities on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Returning on Saturday, August 22nd, the event invites attendees to settle in for a long lunch before the afternoon rolls into live DJs and dancing.
Just 55 minutes from Adelaide and only six minutes from Victor Harbor, Lost Phoenix Farm has quickly become one of the Fleurieu’s favourite spots. Located in the countryside, the venue is known for its relaxed atmosphere, stunning views and celebration of local food, wine and community.
Hosted by South Australian food personalities Andre Ursini and Will Doak, Fire & Stone celebrates the best of the Fleurieu through an impressive lineup of chefs, producers, winemakers and musicians.
Leading this year’s kitchen are Lost Phoenix Farm’s Bridget Corver and Lot 100’s Shannon Fleming, who have curated a menu designed to showcase premium South Australian produce with fun flavours and open-fire cooking.
Guests will begin with a series of canapés including Wagyu beef tartare with nduja vinaigrette and cured yolk, West Coast oysters with yuzu crème and apple mignonette, and Adelaide Hills venison cevapcici with preserved rosella.
The meal continues with shared entrees featuring Boston Bay mussels with skordalia and lemon myrtle, alongside whipped smoked feta with fire-roasted pumpkin, before moving into mains including organic chicken with black garlic soubise and Willunga Hill heirloom radish, ras el hanout-spiced lamb with braised chickpeas, lentils and chermoula, and crispy fried potatoes finished with blue cheese and chives. Dessert comes in the form of a rich chocolate and wattleseed crèmeux.
Throughout the afternoon, guests can enjoy local wines and beverages with live DJ sets taking over as the sun goes down.
Tickets are $170 per person and include the multi-course shared feast. Given last year’s event sold out well in advance, those hoping to attend are encouraged to book early.
So if you’ve been looking for the ultimate excuse for a weekend escape to the Fleurieu, Fire & Stone is shaping up to be one of the region’s standout events of the winter season.
