After years of popping up at festivals, flipping burgers from food trucks and building a cult following across Adelaide, Gang Gang has officially opened the doors to its flagship CBD home.
Following a busy soft-launch weekend, the new Holland Street venue officially welcomed its first customers on August 6. If the early response is anything to go by, it could quickly become one of the city’s favourite burger spots.
Tucked beside Market Shed on Holland Street, the new venue is breathing life into what was once an old mechanic’s workshop.
Instead of covering up its history, co-owners Nina and Morgan have leaned into it, with exposed brickwork, industrial features and garage roller door intact while adding playful touches that give the space plenty of personality.
Think Melbourne warehouse café meets American diner, with a disco ball hanging overhead.
“It feels comfortable and welcoming for all ages,” Morgan said.
“You can come in early in the morning for a coffee, or you can come for dinner and have a beer.”
Unlike Gang Gang’s previous city venues, this space has been designed to be somewhere people can settle in.
Whether it’s grabbing breakfast before work, bringing the family for burgers, stopping by with your dog for a coffee outside or setting up the laptop using the venue’s free Wi-Fi, the team wanted to create somewhere everyone feels at home.
For Nina and Morgan, opening Gang Gang on Holland is far more than simply another burger shop.
“This venue feels full circle and 100 percent us,” Morgan said.
“It almost feels like we’re opening Parkside again. It has that same excitement, but this time we have a much clearer vision.”
Of course, the real reason people will be adding this to their must-visit list is the food.
Fan favourites including the Cardi B, Come Back and Telly Liv have all made the move to Holland Street, alongside loaded fries, mozzarella spring rolls, thick shakes and breakfast muffins.
There are also plenty of new additions, with a build-your-own burger menu letting diners customise exactly what they want (ideal for families and fussy eaters) while every burger can also be turned into a salad or wrap.
Gluten-free and dairy-free goers will be happy to hear that options are available across the burger range, with a dedicated fryer for coeliacs.

Gang Gang has also kept affordability front of mind, introducing value-packed combos, breakfast deals and no surcharge for alternative milk with any coffee.
Beyond burgers, Gang Gang on Holland is already looking ahead to becoming a community hub.
The venue will host functions, collaborate with Market Shed events and be a flexible space for everything from casual catch-ups to private celebrations.
With South Terrace parklands just across the road, plenty of nearby parking and a dog-friendly outdoor area, it’s the kind of spot that’s just as suited to a quick take-away as it is a long afternoon.
It’s safe to say Adelaide’s burger favourite has officially found a permanent home.
