If you thought Dino’s was just your go-to spot for a quick Greek feed in the CBD, think again.
The popular Hindley Street eatery has officially entered its next chapter, opening its second venue in Lockleys.
Think Greek-inspired eats, coffee, cocktails and plenty of reasons to stay for sweets.
Located at 438 Henley Beach Road, Dino’s Lockleys is a more polished take on the brand, swapping the hustle and bustle of the city for a relaxed neighbourhood feel where breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between are on the menu.
That means you can start you day there with a Greek-inspired breakfast before returning at night for a late dinner and cocktail.
We’re calling that a pretty solid itinerary.
Founded by restaurateur Andrew Papadakis and co-founder Giuseppe Nasti, Dino’s has built a loyal following for its fresh Mediterranean flavours and casual approach to Greek street food.
But while the original city venue is designed for diners on the move, the new Lockleys restaurant is all about slowing things down.
“Lockleys gives us the opportunity to do something completely different,” Giuseppe said.
“We wanted to create a venue where people can settle in over brunch, enjoy a relaxed lunch with friends, meet for coffee or spend the evening sharing great food and wine.”
The menu is getting a serious expansion, too, with the new venue serving breakfast alongside Dino’s much-loved Mediterranean flavours.
Expect the likes of a meat lovers breakfast yiros loaded with sausage and bacon, smashed avocado with zucchini fritters and lemon-infused blistered peas, plus spanakopita and tiropita that can be enjoyed at the table or grabbed on the go.
The menu moves into generous share plates and Mediterranean-inspired dishes when lunch and dinner roll around, with dessert getting its own moment in the spotlight.
And you’ll want to save room for the Dinomisu.
Described by Giuseppe as a “love affair” between kataifi and tiramisu, the hybrid dessert brings together two seriously good sweet treats in one indulgent creation.
The drinks list is just as considered, with Greek beers, South Australian wines, signature cocktails and plenty of non-alcoholic options joining the lineup.
Behind the new venue is also hospitality veteran Joseph Vaccaro, who joins Andrew and Giuseppe as a business partner following three decades in Adelaide hospitality, including leadership roles at Chicco Palms and The Greek on Halifax.
Inside, the space leans into a refined Mediterranean aesthetic, with stone benchtops, textured finishes and warm, contemporary styling creating an elevated setting without losing the relaxed hospitality that makes Greek dining so appealing.
We’ll be grabbing our friends and settling in for a night of shared plates, wine and a Dinomisu when Dino’s 2.0 officially opens today.
