One of Adelaide’s favourite family-run Vietnamese restaurants is heading east.
After building a loyal following in Hawthorn, An Nam Quan is opening its second location today at 236 Kensington Road in Marryatville and bringing with it an expansive menu of house made Vietnamese dishes and an extensive specialty drinks menu.
And to celebrate, on their first day only diners can snap up $1 cream puffs until sold out and score a free fresh sugarcane juice with every order over $20.

The expansion marks the latest chapter for founders Winnie Vuong and her partner Arthur Nguyen, who first launched the business as Snazzi Saigon before rebranding as An Nam Quan. Built around family recipes brought from Vietnam, the restaurant has earned a reputation for generous portions, slow-simmered broths and traditional cooking techniques, with dishes prepared from scratch each day.
“It’s the same flavours, the same authentic Vietnamese cooking, just a lot closer for a whole new group of locals,” they said.
While pho remains one of the restaurant’s biggest drawcards, their crispy roast pork is one of the heroes, appearing everywhere from banh mi and cold rolls to vermicelli bowls, rice bowls and tossed noodles. The pork is roasted low and slow to achieve tender meat and crisp crackling, making it one of the kitchen’s signature offerings.
“Our food is made from the heart,” says Winnie. “It’s how we share a little piece of our family and Vietnamese culture with everyone who walks through the door.”
There are plenty of surprises among the starters, including cheeseburger spring rolls, house-made chicken dim sims, steamed bao filled with crispy pork, chicken or tofu, and crispy chicken wings coated in the restaurant’s signature fish sauce glaze.
They also have a vast drink menu, serving coconut coffee, Vietnamese iced coffee topped with salted cold foam, colourful matcha creations, tropical fruit iced teas, and avocado smoothies.

For weekday diners, there’s also a lunch special combining any banh mi, two spring rolls and a drink for $19.50.
With its impressive menu featuring a mix of traditional Vietnamese dishes and contemporary favourites, An Nam Quan Kensington looks set to become another popular addition to Adelaide’s eastern suburbs dining scene.
