The only thing better than watching a beautiful sunset over the water is doing so with a drink in one hand and a fresh oyster in the other!
Oceanique is hosting an Oyster Sundowner Session on Saturday, so expect beautiful views, old-school vinyl tunes by the Captain, free wine tastings, and Coffin Bay oysters.
The West Beach favourite has teamed up with Pol Roger champagne and Jansz sparkling to bring you a glorious Saturday afternoon of free tastings, thanks to Samuel Smith and Sons. The venue will have new beverage partners for another Sundowner Saturday each fortnight for the rest of the winter. In addition to tastings from the showcased winery or distillery, cocktails and additional drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.
“It’ll be a chilled Saturday afternoon watching the sunset with delicious wine and fresh oysters,” Oceanique owner Sam Dunning says.
“South Australian oysters are at their peak at the moment, and we’re shucking to order on the day.”
Oceanique is no stranger to fresh, sustainable seafood, with environmentally conscious cooking at the forefront of all of head chef Toby Gush’s dishes.
“Sustainability and the environment are really important to us; This is such a beautiful setting, and we want to make sure it’s here in the years to come,” co-owner Sam Dunning tells us.
The West Beach gem, tucked within the Adelaide Sailing Club, has impeccable oceanfront views that are absolutely worth protecting. The stunning venue is also family-run, owned and operated by Lucy Dunning, her brother Sam and his wife Leticia Dunning, Leticia’s mum Tina, and Tina’s partner Giuseppe (Joe).
If you’re up for great bubbly, fresh oysters, and live music served up at a beautiful family-run location, head to Oceanique’s Oyster Sundowner Saturday every fortnight this winter. Book ahead to avoid disappointment.
